My visit was very well above the expected level. I'm very impressed how I was treated upon arrival. I'm a very hard person to please so if I'm satisfied, no one else should have any complaints. Thank you for making us feel welcome and not ashamed. Keep up the good work.

Everyone was great.

The facility was 100% child-friendly. They showed me that they care about the problem that is at hand and that made me feel very good.

Only complaint, and I know it's just protocol, is that I could not stand outside of the interview room. I just wanted to be as close to her (my daughter) as possible. We are not like most families; we pride ourselves in being very open and honest with our children. I would have never brought up what I had heard during the interview but I understand that you don't even know me. I just want what is best for her. Thank you for all of your help.

I would not suggest any changes. Everyone here is wonderful. We felt like we were at home.

Legal system should be aware of service, should make sure domestic violence cases know about you. This should include attorneys in area. We've been a domestic violence family for several years and until just recently did not know about Dove House.

Candy - Thank you for everything! Honestly, I don't know what I would have done without you. (Child's name) will always have a special place in her heart for you, as will I. Thank you again for always being there for us and always knowing just what to say. We wish you only happiness and joy in whatever you do. We love you! (card signed by mother and child, following successful criminal and civil proceedings against perpetrator)

The staff was very courteous and showed concern. Candy was able to ease my nervousness and my daughter seemed very reassured after speaking with Colleen.

It was nice having someone to talk to myself while my child was in his meeting but I kind of would like to have been able to listen to the interview also but I understand it is probably because he is allowed to say anything even about me and I don't need to hear that.

Only thing I can say just continue to do what you all are doing. You're doing a great job.

It would greatly encourage the parents of the children who have been assaulted if there were a program in place, like DARE or sex ed classes, in schools & churches, that addressed the definitions of these crimes, their perpetrators, and their victims. The vocabulary is widely misused & misunderstood. We need advocacy in the schools & churches so we know how to protect ourselves.

Just be here for children. Thank God for you all.

I think it would be helpful to have some immediate ability to see a Dr. for the physical exam that is Dove House associated. The time frames are sometimes not conducive to a quick time response. However re: this event was very timely & helpful, even if the Dr.'s exam was not.
